Peak and Off-Peak
Our buildings are popular from late afternoon to the evening. As a result, we have priority periods that we would like to reflect in our pricing. Our Off-Peak rate is 20% cheaper than our Peak rate. 

Regular Hires 

If you are hoping to hire space within the community centre, we will negotiate with you to find an amount that supports you to be successful and sustainable. Please do let us know at the earliest opportunity so that we can discuss this with you.  

 

Community Rate 

Eligibility is based on Third Sector Organisations (charities, voluntary sector groups, associations and individuals) Benefit must be targeted at local people including Clarion residents. For example, a box fit session that is open to everyone locally and any cost is proportionate and affordable. The session that you are delivering must benefit the community. 

 

Coporate Rate 

Is set up for organisations who are based within profit making businesses or that the amount that we ask you to pay contains a small additional amount that is based on a social enterprise model. Where the amount you pay contributes in a small way to the ongoing services for local people who can Profits are invested in services for local people and used to subsidise local activities.  

 

Birthday Parties and one-off events 

Play Place operates a separate policy for Birthday Parties and One-off events. 
The policy sets out the conditions that we apply to individuals/ groups for events such as birthday parties and celebrations such as baby showers. We know that this is unusual, however given the additional costs we are no longer able to support these types of hires in the same way as we do regular week day hires. 

 

However, if you have a one-off event that isn't a party or celebration. Such as a meeting or workshop, please do contact us and we will help you as best we can.
